Weddings -Spring Theme Decoration
Weddings are happy occasions. A great way to convey this happiness is to decorate the venue of the wedding with a spring theme. A few suggestive touches of green will have a great visual treat. Weddings signal new beginnings, and so does spring. With spring as a theme, you cannot go wrong with the atmosphere on this joyous occasion.
Pastels go well with anything connected with spring. So, when you shop for your wedding decoration and party, keep pastels in mind. If however, you prefer a darker shade for the bridesmaid dresses, you can use lighter shades of the same color for the flowers and centerpieces. This variation will give a sense of freshness and appear well coordinated and chic. If the wedding is being planned during Easter, you can almost exclusively use pastels, otherwise, too many will not be advisable. Colors could be from lavender, light blue, soft green or pinks and you could mix and match these shades for great effects.
Some other tricks to bring the spring theme to your wedding are potted bulbs – used as a centerpiece at the reception as well as on the tables meant for gifts and cakes, they make for very pleasing effects. Since you do not want to cause some allergies to anyone, choose bulbs with gentle scents. Heavy perfumes in a closed environment can have some guests hyperventilating and looking for fresh air. Tulips and daffodils, available in so many different colors, will be a good choice. Instead of using the same flowers everywhere, you can consider keeping different flowers in different locations to add some variety.
A nice thoughtful touch will be to give away flower or tree seeds in packets to guests. Spring is when most people will be planting their gardens and this will be much appreciated. Small trees too could be used not only to decorate as centerpieces, but also as favors. They should be about a foot high so that they do not come in the way at the ceremony. Plant them in decorative pots with some planting instructions, and keep them away on side tables so that they do not obstruct laying out of the food. After the wedding ceremony, announcements can be made that guests should feel free to take them away with them as mementos. A thank you note tied with a bit of raffia to the base will add a nice thoughtful touch.
A springtime feeling and atmosphere can be created using appropriate colors and flowers without going to too much expense or effort. You can even have an enjoyable experience planning and executing this!
