Wedding Music
In all the various details that go in to planning your wedding probably the most relevant of all is the wedding song. You have done all the planning of the venue and the food and the favors, the guest list and the invitations have been sent out. Now it’s time to select the music for your wedding song.
This is the first dance as man and wife and the song should be one which says all that you want your new spouse to know. The choice should be strictly between the bride and groom and no one else has any say in the matter. This is the first step towards a long and happy married life. Spend time together deciding which song fits the bill.
When you walk down the aisle, generally the classical bridal march is played which is symbolic to weddings or this is played after the vows are said. There are some couples who play their wedding song as the “I do’s” are said. But the choice is yours entirely. But normally the wedding song is the one you will dance to as husband and wife for the first time at the reception after the wedding.
Every couple has a song that they call as being “theirs”. This could be the song that was playing when they first met or when the question was popped or even the first dance on a date. This song would ideally be the one that makes a statement about your love for each other and it the one which you feel will remain in your hearts for a long time to come.
Often couples debate on whether the music should be a popular number or their own personal favorite which may be a slow love song. Sometimes couples fear that the guests may not like what they have selected but what has to be kept in mind is that this is your moment so the song should be one that pleases the both of you not the guests. For them you can play popular numbers after the first dance is over. Your decision should not be swayed by other people and their opinions.
This is your first dance and it should feel comfortable, wonderful and the perfect expression of your love for each other as you set out on the long journey of life together as husband and wife. This moment is special and it’s all yours so let the wedding music be special and let it be all your choice.
